I’M NOT OKAY WITH CHRIS BROWN PERFORMING AT THE GRAMMYS AND I’M NOT SURE WHY YOU ARE
by Sasha Pasulka

I agree with all points made in this.
So, there are some Chris Brown songs that I have liked in the past couple years, and it kind of makes me hate myself. I don’t know if it’s possible to force myself to dislike a catchy song just because the artist might be a despicable person, but something about it bothers me when I catch myself tapping my foot to Yeah 3x when I’m also disgusted that he punched his girlfriend in the face (have you ever been punched in the face? It sucks.)
I read somewhere around the time of that Kanye/Taylor Swift debacle that more celebrities spoke out against Kanye for interrupting her speech than spoke out against Chris Brown for hitting Rihanna. In what world does that make sense?
I don’t know if I think it’s fair to wish that the Grammys would continue blacklisting Chris Brown indefinitely or until the end of his probation, but celebrating him so wholeheartedly so soon really irks me (especially after the Good Morning America incident.)
